Benjamin Ludman is a senior studying computer science at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University in New York City. His main fields of interest include robotics, artificial intelligence and computer vision, and novel approaches to human-computer interaction, specifically augmented reality.
He served in the Israel Defense Forces in the C4I corps attached to the Home Front Command from 2004-2007. During his time in the military he was the district wide network administrator and section head of the district's computer communications section. In 2007 he was awarded the Home Front Command Award of Excellence by OC Home Front Command Major General Yitzhak Gershon. He received an honorable discharge in 2007 at the rank of staff sergeant.
He has lived in the United States, Canada, and Israel and currently resides in the Morningside Heights neigborhood of Manhattan.
